Bumpity bump

Snuggling her face into the cushion she let out a small fire, inspecting her now second nature surroundings of the deep blue furnishings of the Ravenclaw common room, one in which in a years time would never been seen again. Unless she became a teacher or something at the school. Ah well, it held good memories and bad alike. That was life as she bring her chin back to the top of the pillow, clutching it with both hands.

It was late at night and the fire was slowly dying down, the flames having done there hypnotising part as she viewed images and textures a like. Though now it was merely slowly dancing as she saw other people start to head up to the dorms. SHe wasn't tired yet as such but she was starting too. Just a little. "Fire burn fire fire," she sang in a muttered tone, just about that tad bit audible.

It was night time and the sixth year had nothing better to do than to roam the school for unsuspecting victims to flirt with. At this point in time most of the fifth and sixth year females knew who he was. But not a lot of them had flirted with him. So he could still flirt with no worries.

So he walked out of his dorm room and into the common room. He saw Kaydee sitting on the deep blue chair and walked towards her. He sat down next to her and grinned a bit. "Hey gorgeous," he said smiling as he looked at her winking.

The girl wasn't really expecting company that night. Least to say in the form of Ardric Sage. Not that she minded...well okay she did because of the fact he was just too confident for his own damn good around girls. So when she heard the just about familiar voice from the other day with his aopted sister, Rebecca she looked up to see him sit next to her.

It wasn't that she minded with the flirting sometimes. But with him it seemed like it was constant from the gossip that spread within the girls in her year and the year below. Especially the fact she now knew that he fell for her cousin wasn't exactly the greatest now. "You're lucky that you're cute," Kay spoke up suddenly after his words sunk in. "Otherwise I would have given a slap, specially the other day," for a moment she paused then grinned, "Then again right now I am too lazy to do anything so meh, a slap you are saved cos of your pretty face." Ooh, she loved rhyming.

Ardric grinned at her and smirked. "Oh trust me. I'm more than cute. I'm rather handsome if I must say. And you wouldn't of slapped me anyways," he said with a wink at her. He nearly chuckled at her. He looked at her as he sat next to her. She was rather gorgeous. Just like her cousin. And it made him think of Liz for a second. But he stopped almost immediately.

"So what are you going to do next year? You won't be at Hogwarts," he asked curiously.

Narrowing her eyes at the disbelief of the younger boys personality at being so full of ego, she even managed to raise an eyebrow. "Wow...you are soo full of yourself." What? it was the truth and to be quite frank she didn't care if she had hurt him; besides they didn't know each other properly anyways. "Like I said, I'm too lazy to do anything," the young woman muttered to him, shaking her head.

Sinking farther into her chair as he asked what she was going to do now that she wouldn't be at Hogwarts no more she merely shrugged. "Dunno really...probably be a curse breaker or a quidditch player," depended really. She liked both things- they humoured her hobbies nicely.

He laughed. Of course he was. He was so used to girls telling him how hot he was. So he thought of himself the same way. But she didn't hurt his feelings being so blunt. He heard the mutter and chuckled placing his arm on the chair behind her head. "It wouldn't be because you're to lazy. You don't have it in you. And if you did it would only make you hotter," he said grinning at her.

Ardric watched her with a smile. He listened to what she had to say. "Both are good choices. I'm thinking about an Auror. Even if I have to bring in my own family," he said to her.

Narrowing her eyes a little, turning her head to face him as he laughed after her response. Clearly he wasn't in the least bothered or hurt by what she had said. Well, it saved her tears to say the least. At his words over being lazy and slapping him, well, it was safe to say she was half offended half pleased somewhat. Still it didn't stop her from pushing him to the side. Having not seen his arm glide around her neck area over the chair.

"Auror's cool but I think its too common," she responded with a shrug. "I'd like a challenge- not that I'd say that job isn't but you know I aint really fond of the ministry anyhow." She hated anything to do with politics muggle or not. They seemed to ruin lives in her eyes. Plus that would have been unheard of considering she was a Pureblood.

As she pushed him lightly his arm slid onto her shoulders. He smirked at her and didn't move his arm. That had been her fault entirely. He chuckled and grinned at her.

"Well I understand that. They are to common, but at the same time they are neat," he replied grinning. He loved magical things and if stopping people from being bad meant capturing them than he was fully willing to go to the end and beyond.

"This isn't funny!" Kay protested, having a sulk because she might as well. This was unfair! This housemate was being unfair...yes she said the word again. So what? She pouted a little, her back leaned a bit forward as she had inched a bit forward the moment his arm slid upon her neck after her momentary push of him and his reaction to this whole fiasco.

Gingerly removing his arm whilst still sulking she sighed, sitting back and in an upright, straigt back position. "I guess you're right...I mean some jobs could be worse..." her voice trailed of as she gazed at the now gradually dimming fire. Goodness, night time did always bring the oddest of conversations didn't it? "Like being an azkaban guard.." yawning a little as she rested her cheek on the cushion she retrieved since it landed on the floor. "Now that would be horrible," shuddering a little at the thought of dementers.

"No you're right. It's perfect," he said flirtishly grinning at her. Than he felt his arm slide off her neck and further down her back and smirked. He watched her with a grin.

As she moved his arm he only helped her move it. He placed it on his lap as he listened to what she had to say. He could actually listen to people sometimes. He wasn't just a flirt. "Well yeah it's a way to get injured, but think about it this way. That's one less criminal in the city. They'll just be in prison or dead or soulless," he said shrugging his shoulders. "But yeah an Azkaban guard would be horrible," he replied.
