Lu-Lu had been missing for two days now. Amelia was becoming increasingly worried. She had already searched the castle and was now outside near the lake. There were plenty of kids around that she could ask help from, but she didn't exactly know any of them. Being a bit of a recluse doesn't get you many brownie points in the friend making area.

But two days was rather long for the big sweet dog to be gone and Amelia's anxiety was beginning to show. She sighed, about to gather her nerves and ask someone when she heard Lu-Lu's familiar bark. No one else seemed very concerned with it and the bark sounded again. Amelia realized it was coming from the Forbidden Forest. she turned and ran into the dark trees. Unfortunately, in her haste to find her dog she became impossibly lost. Amelia stood amongst the trees, trying to hear any other sounds from Lu-Lu.

Behind her a twig snapped as someone stepped on it.

"You do know, that this place is forbidden for a reason right?"

Pansy Parkinson barked as she leaned against the tree, a smirk spread across her features. "You're lucky we're not that far off the forest just yet. That bint of a head master already told us to stop coming here. Guess you were one of those students that never listen." She drawled as she continued to look at the girl her age.

Whilst Amelia was looking for her dog, Parkinson had other plans for coming inside the forbidden forest.

She was a curious girl after all; looking forward to knowing gossip first hand she decided to venture along the forest on her own. Millicent Bulstrode had informed her that Josephine Parker and Joshua Andrews, both Slytherins on her year were caught heading out of the said forest with a smirk on their faces, hand in hand. One could only imagine what they have been up to. Snogging each other senseless or the latter. This was too juicy as a gossip to miss out on so Parkinson thought this would have been a lot better if she could have seen it for herself. Unfortunately, she came across someone else of her year. A Gryffindor no less. "Fancy seeing you here by the way. Not here to meet Joshua Andrews, are you?"

Amelia relaxed. She had seen this Slytherin before and though she didn't know her, felt no real animosity from her. What was she doing in the forest though? It was true that students weren't suppose to be in there, but Amelia had a reason. What was Parkinson's reason?

"Yeah, but this place is like my second home." she replied. "Besides, my dog's been missing for two days now and I heard her barking here. I came to look for her." She paused, deciding whether or not it would be rude to ask what Pansy herself was doing there. "Anyways, why are you here?" she eventually asked. "You know just as well as I we're not suppose to be here. Got a hot date?"

Joshua Andrews? Amelia had no clue as to who he was or why she would be meeting him. All she knew was that he was a Slytherin like Pansy. "Why would I be here for Andrews? I don't even know him." she replied. "Hell, I hardly know any of the Gryffindors." Were there other Slytherins in the forest? What is it, Forbidden Forest Day, Amelia wondered briefly. She looked around with a sick feeling in her stomach. All she wanted was to find her dog. The sick feeling increased as she thought about the possibility of Lu-Lu being hurt.

Parkinson cocked an eyebrow. "Why what an unusual girl. I could help you look for your dog if you like; although that comes with a price." She grinned as she continued to cross her arms. Pansy wasn't all that sympathetic about a student whose dog got lost but she seemed like a nice girl; perhaps if the girl was able to help her out, she can go out of her way and help her out as well.

"If it's any consolation, I barely know any Gryffindors myself." She replied with a smirk before turning to face the forest. She was scared, yes. But she would get her fear out of the way all for the love of juicy gossip. Oh dear lord. "Don't know an Andrews aye? Let's put it this way; I'll help you find your dog if you'll help me find Andrews. I just oh-so-happened to hear people talking about how there was this certain... Forbidden love transpiring from two of my fellow housemates. I suppose it would be but a bit more interesting if I confirmed it, non?" She chuckled a bit and hoped the girl said yes. She didn't want to be searching for them alone.

Help? Well, Amelia had been planning on asking for it to begin with until she had heard Lu-Lu's bark. She could accept Pansy's help and as for her price, it couldn't be too bad.

"You are a Slytherin. That doesn't really surprise me that you don't know any Gryffindors." Amelia stated. "And as for this Andrews, whats so big about this forbidden love? I'm not much for gossip, but I do like knowledge about the random things that happen here." That much was true. Amelia did like knowledge and since she hardly talked to anyone, she couldn't be called a gossip. She simply liked to know things. "I'll help you find Andrews. I just want to know a little about this forbidden love." Deep in the trees, Amelia heard another bark from Lu-Lu. It sounded far away, but the sound could have been bouncing off the trees and being distorted. "But can we find Lu-Lu first? I do promise I'll help you find Andrews."

"It's not that I don't know them... She trailed off before flicking her hair and began checking her nails right after. "I just don't address them as much." Ah yes, she forgot to check the girl's blood status. Of course if she might divulge juicy information on her end she might let that slide.

A smirk formed her lips as she listened to the curious girl, looking towards the outskirts of the forbidden forest, rubbing her wrists right after. "Then you have yourself a deal then." She stated as she moved forward, walking past Amelia as she walked straight ahead keeping a watchful eye out for her companion's mutt. "Where do I begin... Hmm. Let's start off with this. She stated as she continued to walk along the forest, making sure she wouldn't get too far off, constantly checking her back from time to time to see if Amelia was able to follow her pace and making sure she could still see the grounds. "I'm not too sure if you're too familiar with how being a pureblood works, so I'll try to keep this simple. You see, most pureblood families prefer to keep to themselves, marrying fellow purebloods, ensuring that their family tree stays this way. Full of purebloods. Back in the days they even considered marrying off their own relatives. Distant cousins, first degree cousins and it even escalated to a point where it involved marrying your own sibling." She looked back at Amelia just to check if she was listening then continued to venture off. "During these times however, these things haven't really occurred often as they resorted to something else. Arranged marriages with fellow pureblooded families. Let's just say, Andrews already has a pureblood lass waiting for him, and Josephine isn't the girl I was talking about." She drifted off with a smirk, glee apparent in her voice.

Oh how she loved juicy gossip! If she did find Andrews, with the help of this girl, then she will be one happy pickle.

Well of course Amelia knew how pureblood families worked. Her great-grandfather had married his second cousin in order to keep the pureblood line. It disgusted her how some people would resort to such things as that just to keep their line pure. She followed Parkinson deeper into the forest. "Ah, a secret love then?" she mused. "Who all knows?" A small smirk curved her mouth. It was nice hearing when other people got into trouble seeing as she was always in trouble herself. "I can't imagine they were able to keep it all a secret for very long were they?" she asked. She stumbled a bit as a root tripped her up. "At this school hardly anything is secret for long."

There was another bark somewhere ahead of them. It was Lu-Lu again and Amelia recognized it as her playful, wanna-chase-and-play bark. "That big sweet brute may have found your people." Amelia said. "She only barks like that when people are around and she wants to play tag." The barks weren't very far off but Amelia couldn't call her yet. Lu-Lu was deaf in one ear and would easily get confused as to where the sound was coming from. "What are you going to do if you find this couple, anyways?"
