Watching the sky

Kimm had never learned to fly, she didn't have older sibling and her father and mother would never teach her such a sport. She loved watching people soar into the air and let go of everything and just fly. Get away and go into a completely different place. A different mind set altogether. She always wished she could fly in the air and just disappear into the clouds. She lay in the middle of the quidditch pitch and stared at the sky hoping one day she would too fly up and disappear. But until then she was content in just watching everyone else fly and have fun and watch the clouds morph into different shapes and designs.

She lay back on the ground wearing tight gray skinny jeans, green converse and a tight black tank top. She eyes closed for a moment while she thought. Her hair was in a high poney tail and rested softly against the soft grass. It was nice outside that was for sure.

As she opened her eyes she saw someone hoovering over her. She used her hand to block the sun from her eyes as she squinted to see who was up there.

Ardric had been flying around the Quidditch field when he noticed Kimm Devitt. He smiled and grinned and flew towards her and hovered above her smirking. "Hey Kimmy," he said grinning down at her. Than he flew down beside her and jumped off his broom and sat down next to her smiling wide at her.

"Hey there!" She said pleasently to the boy she had known most of her life. She couldnt believe she didnt reconize his shadow. "How have you been i feel like i havent seen you in forever." she said smiling pleasently at him. She loved Ardric he was like a brother that she occationally fooled around and flirted with. Okay when she thought of him like that it was kinda creepy but he was one of the few men in her life that she trusted and could be herself around with with no judgement and it was great.

Ardric wrapped his arm around her shoulders and grinned like a little boy who had stolen some candy when he wasn't allowed to have any. "I've been great. How have you been sexy?" he asked as he kissed her cheek and hugged her gently. She was one of his best friends. And she was also like a sister and the one who had taught him everything he knew about flirting. Well that was other than the manly stuff.

Kimm smiled as she hugged the boy back. She adored this boy and he made her feel so nice even on her darkest days which could be hard somedays. "I've been doing good you know just hanging out." she said leaning into him as they sat outside on the beautiful day looking out into the world. "How have you been my young grasshopper?" she asked him smiling cheekly at him.

"Hanging out could always be more fun with the right person," he said grinning and winking at her as she leaned against him. He grinned and shifted position and lay down on the grass looking up at the sky. "I've been well. Can't complain really," he said grinning up at her. He adored Kimm. She was like the older sister he never had and Rebecca was his younger sister by adoption.

When Ardric layed back Kimm joined him laying her head on his chest. She then looked him in the eyes placing her chin on her hands and still resting on his chest. she grew up with guys so she was confortable around them but there was very few people expecially men that she trusted and Ardric was one of the few that she was confortable with and trusted. "Thats good i suppose." she said smiling and winking back at him slightly before smiling.

Ardric smiled. He was laying back looking at Kimm and her head was on his chest. If he chuckled than she would bounce slightly. "Shame you're graduating this year though," he said looking into her eyes. "I'll miss my old sister," he teased her and chuckled slightly.

"Oh didnt you know you can't get rid of me that quickly. I will visit all the time and im moving in with Becca." she said smiling at him. Wondering if he knew yet. She rolled so her head was higher on his chest and she leaned up and kissed him on the bottom of the chin. Before looking back up at the sky with a small smile playing on her lips.

"Well I knew that much, but I meant I'd miss you being a constant part. Even at school," he said replying to her with a grin. He grinned as she moved closer and chuckled lightly as her lips kissed his chin. He kissed her forehead and winked at her and than looked up at the sky.

"It's amazing up there. We could just fly," he said quietly.

Kimm looked up at him. "Trust me you'll see me more then you think, ill always be around so you will never have a void if you ever need to see me or want to see me ill be there." she said leaning up and giving him a kiss on the lips before looking back up at the sky.

"We could but i am scared poopless of flying and you know that." she said looking up at him.

Ardric looked down at her. "What do you mean I'll see you a lot?" he asked Kimm curiously. He wanted to raise his eyebrow, but thought better of it. He kissed her back gently and looked up at the sky smiling.

"That's why we don't actually have to fly. We could just soar across the field and feel like flying," he said suggestively grinning at her.
