He jumped lightly as the dinning room doors opened revealing Voldemort and his Aunt trailing behind him. He was nervous, he was scared but he would never admit it, even if you could tell but his face, which was white as a sheet of paper. Everyone stood quickly bowing at their master as Draco was heaved up by the collar of his white dress shirt by his father who was currently on his left. It was settled last night that Draco was given the chance to prove his family proud and bring back the honor to their name by killing Dumbledore. All he could remember from the night before was the hushed conversation as his parents, his Aunt, his godfather and Voldemort talked then being called to Voldemort, made to kneel. He remembered a seering pain to his left arm and waking up in his bed with his mother asleep on his stomach.

Sitting down, Draco flexed his arm before he sub-consciously started to rub at the raw skin underneath his sleeve. There was a rustle before Voldemort folded his robes behind him and sat down himself. “There is no good and evil. There is only power, and those too weak to seek it.” The wizard started and Draco immediately drifted off, thinking about Astoria, wondering what girl was currently doing in the living room, all by herself. Her parents my not be marked, but they were required to attend the first meeting since Draco had been marked.

“Draco.” A harsh but whispery voice brought him out of his gloomy thoughts. With a snap Draco grabbed his left arm and dug his nails in even though it wasn’t burning at the present time. “Ye-yes Master.” Draco replied weakly, mentally kicking himself for sounding so scared. With a slight sneer, Voldemort waved his hand, “You may leave, I would like to speak to your parents and the others.” He said simply. Standing quickly and nearly tripping over his chair, he heard his father whisper, ‘bow’. He bowed and quickly but gracefully left the room. Closing the door, the Slytherin let out a shaky breath before he climbed the stairs to the living room.

“Astoria.” He said loudly, wondering where the girl could be. It may be a big home, but he knew the girl wouldn’t wonder alone. He still didn’t know why her parents brought the fifteen year old, and was slightly mad and scared for the girl if Voldemort got a whiff of the pretty blonde.

It had been the first time that her father had paid attention towards her appearance that day. Astoria had risen to a hustle of protests besides her bed, as her father and mother ushered her awake, hauling her into the marble bath; a difference from the usual shower. Aspect towards anything, the blonde girl had no idea what was there ahead of her, presented in that of expressional mien. Upon orders, the maiden had been ushered to take that of a longer wash, hair carefully treated and combed, skin lathered in lotion and ointments; today was that of a special day, according to her parents. But Astoria knew that by far, judging by their strained smile, it was anything but special.

For the first time since she was thirteen, the blonde had been shoved into a dress. Simple yes, of a pure white with thin straps and a sinuous cut a few inches about her kneecaps; she looked virginal, protected and as if she was here upon sacrifice, and towards anything, she was. Astoria wasn’t just aware of that yet. Her father had side-along apparated her towards Malfoy Manor, thrust her into a room and disappeared as quickly as he arrived. By far, the girl had been asking boundless questions upon her arrival, towards every house elf that fluttered by. Yet no answer, just a sidelong fearful glance and a ‘so and so can’t be of service’.

It left her in a whirlwind of irritation, frustration biting away at her porcelain skin. Tori had always been of a pretty girl, yet her appearance had never been doted on, for she was often out shadowed by her beauty of a sister. But it was odd how Daphne had been nowhere to be found for the past few days; her parents excuse of that she was visiting a friend. She however, had been duly doubtful of that, due to the way Daffy had eloped her into a hug only two days ago. And that was beyond of said belief, for Daphne rarely ever showed signs of intimate affection for her sister.

Perched on an elegant sofa of elaborate material, Astoria glanced around at her surroundings. Family portraits of those centuries ago lined against the wall, and the only light source was that of some few candles flickering upon some chandeliers. It was definitely gloomy, yet it was of similar substances to her own home. Just a tad more regal. Sighing, the girl rubbed at her arms, feeling a slight draught seep into the already haughty home. She had been sitting for a mere hour or so, but already her tones had flattered into that of an irked ingénue as she gazed around the room.

”Astoria?

It was her name, ringing out through the corridors and she stood up with an alerted gaze, attempting to recognize the familiar voice. Oh that’s right, it was Draco’s. An old family friend, he had of course been a tad more closer to Daphne rather than her, yet the two knew each other to a conversant extend; often at Pure-blood dinner parties. “Draco?” she called out, striding across the room and locking her slender hands upon the doorknob, twisting it with slight force. The door opened with a click, and she stepped out, her feet fluttering against the Egyptian cotton carpet. “Draco? Draco, I’m up here.”

The blonde head snapped up towards the top library and wondered why the younger Greengrass was up there. Stepping towards the steps again, Draco took them two at a time and clicked to why the girl was there. Her mother probably wanted to have as much distance between the living room and where her daughter was. Hearing his name called again, Draco swung around the pole on the stairs and stopped when the library doors opened revealing a delicate looking Astoria. She wore a white dress and her hair hung around her shoulders and all Draco wanted to do was cover her in a school robe to cover what looked to a be sacrificing dress and the boy wondered if the girl knew what was going on.

“Astoria.” He muttered, looking her up and down, “You look erm, nice.” He muttered, he wondered if he could get away with asking her to change, it wasn’t that she didn’t look beautiful; it was just the event that her parents choose for her to wear it for. His parents hadn’t exactly told him why Astoria had been brought to one of the first Death Eater event but he had an inkling it wasn’t because it was easier for the older Greengrasses to bring her.

“Tootsies.” Draco bellowed, and with a small crack a tiny female elf wearing a ripped pillowcase appeared, “Master Draco called Tootsies?” the elf asked in a high-pitched voice as she bowed. “Bring us some tea and muffins would you.” He said lightly, still looking at Astoria. “Yes Master.” Tootsies replied before she disappeared. “Lets sit by the fire in the library eh?” he asked, ushering the girl into the arm but dark room.

Draco Malfoy had always taken her by surprise, like any girl. Those around him though, were mostly infatuated by his appearance, the sleek blonde hair, handsome face; his cold demeanour. Draco Malfoy wasn’t perfect, but he was definitely and by far, something. As a younger girl, the girl had to admit a rather gratifying fear of teens going by the name Draco Cepheus Malfoy. Naïve and extremely delicate, Astoria had always been that of a feather; easily blown away, easily broken, easily lost. And something about nasty, callous, snide and attractive Draco Malfoy had always taken her by disclosure.

It wasn’t a crush, it was just that something about him- just something flew by and took her by surprise every time she saw him. And she had to admit as she stood by the landing, staring down at the boy; that he had changed over time. Between a revelation of height and stamina, he stood tall; and she guessed that her forehead only reached his chest. The dispositive around him remarked the girl as dominance, his supremacy graduating off his Malfoy aura. And yet, he looked again, like the boy. The boy her sister fought over her best friend to woo, the boy Rebecca Mulciber had an unrequited infatuation over, the boy who held her hand when Blaise Zabini pushed her into a pond when she was seven; he was just that Malfoy.

Realising that she was staring, the girl shook her head lightly, placing her hand against a pillar standing in parallel lines opposite each door. She stood mute as he gestured towards her her, striding over to stand opposite. She gazed up, attempting to smile but questions of why she was here, why she was dressed as if she was nothing but verity nymph, why no one seemed to want to answer her pleads.

“Draco,” She assured, using his first name (she was never keen on placing surnames as an indicator of arrival towards anyone), “Why am I here? Shouldn’t I don’t know, be at home or at least be with my parents?” Quizzically, she watched as he ordered a house elf, precisely the one who had attempted to avert the Slytherin’s question, instead dissapperating on the spot. “Draco?” Beseeching his name again, she questionably turned to gaze at him as he hauled her into the library, her imploring tones misunderstood as she dubiously followed him inside.

Draco coughed lightly as he sat down making sure to look like he wasn’t plainly ignoring the girl but didn’t hear her. He hated Voldemort, he hated his unforgivable Aunt for suggesting Astoria in the first place but he had himself to blame as all the two had been doing over the holidays were sending each other owls and it was when his Aunt had called him down from his room that he found her in the dinning room with Astoria’s neat printed letter in her hand.

With a tingle, a pot of tea and apple and cinnamon muffins on a separate plate appeared out of thin air. With shaky hands, Draco lifted the teapot and poured the tainted water into the small china cup before he poured a tad of milk into the cup and two teaspoons of sugar into the cup. With a quick stir, the boy handed the cup to the younger Slytherin before he grabbed himself a muffin and say back. Draco looked the cup in the girls small petite hands and suddenly stood bumping the girls knee, causing the girl to tip the entire contents into her lap.

“Shit.” Draco yelped, snatching his wand from his back pocket before he snapped his wrist and a sprinkle of water shot out of the end and landed into the girls lap. Now that he thought about it, he realized this would be the perfect excuse to have the girl change out of her dress into something less inviting. “I’m soo sorry.” Draco said, his face not exactly full of regret.

Taking a seat beside him, the girl averted her eyes towards the family portraits once again, sitting in stony silence. He seemed difference in person compared to their vacation letters together, words printed on parchment describing lives of none but their own; concerns and beliefs. They talked maybe once or twice a day, expressing their opinion of deeds that had been pulled out the of the day. He seemed different, definitely. But in a good way, the girl had decided.

Jumping lightly yet subtly as a tray of refreshments appeared out of thin air and Astoria couldn’t help but display a smile. She loved tea, as well as apple and cinnamon muffins; especially those baked by house elves. She watched as Draco poured the tea, remarking at how he seemed to use the exact amount of cream and sugar as she did; compared to those who either placed one too little or all the much sugar in their drinks. “You know my tea order.” She muttered, yet mainly to herself as he handed her the cup, the warmth seeping into her pale hands.

About to raise the drink the her lips, she was suddenly cut across and the next thing she knew was that of searing liquid upon her lap. Wincing, the girl cried out, yet the pain had faded as another jet of this time, cold water sprayed across her dress. Standing up suddenly, planting the tea on the study table near by, she inspected the damage, tilting her head lightly. This dress didn’t look too expensive, yet now it was horribly see-through, and the heat radiating from her lap now resided in her cheek, as she coughed awkwardly.

“Don’t worry about it.” She dismissed with a wave of her hand. “You don’t have uhm, any spare clothes do you?”

“Yeah!” he said a tad too excitedly before he blushed and nodded, “Yeah, your about the same size as mum, maybe a tad smaller but I’m sure we can ix that.” He told her, grabbing her hand pulling her from the seat. “Tootsies, prepare some of mothers close.” He said to thin air but knowing the elf would of heard him

Rubbing his left forearm, Draco smiled at Astoria before he nodded towards the libraries double doors. “Shall we enter the deadly abyss.” He joked, opening the door before he headed towards his parents rooms. Out of all the rooms in the house, his parent’s room was probably his favourite out of all. It wasn’t dark and gloomy like all the others but it still had that gothic feeling to it. He remembered sleeping with his mother as a small boy when he was afraid to sleep in his own large room with the scary shadows coming from his window.

On the extra king sized bed were three dresses and a blouse and skirt. Striding towards the bed, Draco immediately grabbed the strapless, purple dress and threw it over the other side of the bed. “Definitely not that one.” He muttered, before he grabbed the black gothic one. “Bloody elf.” He snarled, throwing that away two. Left were a red blouse and a black pin skirt and a yellow summer dress. “Okay well, wear this one.” He told her throwing the dress at her. “Get dressed behind that screen there.” He told her, sitting on the bed.

“So where’s your sister at the moment.” He asked, knowing exactly where she was.

Feeling slightly foolish, Astoria followed the blonde teenager, remarking at how differently he reacted to everything compared to at school. Usually snide and sinister; it was rare of him to appear as civil as he was now; but that was Astoria’s point of view. It had dawned on the blonde at how little she knew of the boy who she had infiltrated her life with for over 14 years. Following the boy aimlessly, she stared at the blonde scalp, contemplating on how much she actually knew of the boy. And with a pang; she had realised that her answer was nothing. Despite everything; he had never been her friend; just an acquaintance. His loyalty and friendship lay in her sisters hand; like always.
And for once, it bothered Astoria.

Shuffling very unladylike, she smiled sweetly at his joke, and flitted through the double doors towards Mr and Mrs Malfoy’s room. She had the urge to crack up a senseless and dirty joke but due to her upbringing, choked it down, instead fixing a fake yet innocent smile upon the boy. She loved the room nevertheless; as much as she loved all of Mrs Malfoy’s noted items of clothing yet kept her mouth shut as she admired at how Draco had the sense to realise what types of clothing suited her. Most men out of tact, would shove her into some exposing cosplay outfit. At least the teenager opposite him had sense.

She had started to drift off until she realised that he was flourishing a dress at her; a pretty knee cut sundress with thin strays and a simple empire cut. It suited her hair, as it did with her eyes as well as skin tone and for once; she felt worthwhile. “Thanks, Draco. Really.” She smiled at him, despite the fact that it was his fault that she had to strip off her spoiled and original garment. Taking the dress, the girl disappeared behind the screen.

He shot a question about her sister and she momentarily stopped undressing; panicking. Truthfully the girl didn’t know the exact answer, but assuming that she didn’t want awkward questions to arise, she inwardly shrugged. “I-she’s visiting her friend to take a trip to Italy together.” The girl lied, slipping on the yellow dress. It was a little too large under her arms, at the bust and around her waist yet it seemed better than a see-through dress anyway.

Reaching back to do the zip, the girls fingers clawed for the fastener; yet suddenly her face paled considerably, flourished with a rouge red flush. She had realized upon placing the dress on that for the design, the fastening had been made with a flurry of nifty little buttons, something eargerly impossible for the girl to herself. Gulping, Astoria’s face flashed crimson, and she sighed; raking a hand through her masses of sunshine hair.

“D-draco?” she said timidly? Stepping from behind the screen, holding the dress up with her fingers from the back. “The backs sort of hard to do up. Do you… mind helping me?” Inching closer, she bit her lip, turning her back on him to show the elaborate button holes and corset straps issued to secure the dress. “If you ahm, don’t mind?” Coughing again, the girl faced the screen, in fear of gazing at him; her cheeks that of a tomato. She was an easy girl to blush, and was easily flustered. It was an easily interpret trait of the girl, and usually she was found creating awkward scenes than fixing them.

The blonde sat on the large four-poster bed with his sock covered feet crossed. His hands twisted and pulled at his fingers while he waited for the fifteen year old to finish getting dressed. He knew what the adults down in the dinning room were talking about at the moment. Deciding if Draco was actually going to pull through while wondering if Astoria was the right person to actually trust with the job. She was only fifteen and Draco couldn’t believe her parents had put her up for the job; it made him sick to his stomach. Her parents had nothing to prove, but with the Dark Lord you would do anything to get on his good side even if it mean’s sacrificing your daughter.

Grabbing his collar Draco pulled at it, trying to relief the pressure that was building up. It was suddenly very hot in the room and he realized that he was starting to sweat. He heard Astoria call his name and stood him with a snap. “Yeah.” He crocked before he cleared his throat. “I mean yeah.”

As soon as Astoria stepped out from the silver screen Draco shivered lightly and then gulped rather loudly. The yellow sundress maybe a tad big but it looked perfect. It matched her blonde hair perfectly and she looked amazing. Nodding Draco stepped towards Astoria and nodded again. “Yeah, no. I don’t mind.” He muttered before he reached towards the back of the dress with shaky hands. With slightly rough hands, Draco pushed away a long piece of hair making sure to take as long as he could while he touched her smooth shoulder. Finishing the third button, Draco let out a shaky breath, making hot air run over the younger Greengrasses uncovered shoulders. Once he was done with the last button Draco, gripped the girls shoulders before he ran his hands slowly down her upper arms until he got to her elbows and let go. “Finished.” He announced before he stepped back slowly.

Biting her lip, the girls breath hitched as his rough fingertips traced against her neckline, causing her to shudder lightly. She had always been flustered around boys, and wasn't often experienced with the art of brittleness. Standing as still as possible, the girl waited patiently, back tentive as he finished doing up the buttons. The blonde couldn't help but smile lightly as his warm breath shattered over her shoulder, splaying warmth into her cool and pallid skin.

Sensing a slight pressure on her shoulders, she froze as he flowed his hands down towards the crook of her elbow, yet suddenly releasing her, the air previously contaminating her neck haltered, leaving Astoria to feel uncomfortably icy. Slowly turning to face him, Astoria attempted to smile, yet her eyes remained awkward and unseen for. "Thanks." She muttered, slowly taking a step closer, intoxicated towards a certain extend. The previous tomato flush had now settled to a more coral peach, yet still faltered her face, the obvious in captain showing.

Nodding lightly, Draco coughed lightly before he tapped his hands against he pants lightly. Draco wasn’t someone who lied to himself but yeah sure I may lie to others but he was always honest to himself and right now he would be lying if he said he wasn’t attracted to the younger Slytherin. “Yeah no problem.” He told her meekly before he cleared his throat. Finally admitting to him that he was attracted to Astoria maybe even like like her.

The blonde noticed the girl stepping closer and for once in his life Draco Malfoy, the Slytherin prince, was completely nervous and routed to the spot. Honestly it was like the souls of his feet were glued to the floor. Licking his rather dry lips, Draco’s gray eyes darted to the girls lips across from him before he realized what he was doing and flickered back to her light blue eyes. Swallowing again, the boy wondered if he had swallowed a golf ball before secretly as there was a heavy lump in throat.

She had the urge to kiss him. Really, she did. Never an outgoing girl, Astoria was meek when it came to attraction, naturally for the girls parents often forbade her to come in contact with many boys not in their society ring and yet again, most who were pure-blood Slytherin's were either betrothed, rather ugly or too cocky for Astoria's own good. Malfoy could be brash at school but at the moment, he almost seemed normal, awkward and sweet. It was weird, to the girl now. But in a good way.

Slowly, the girl leant up, standing on her tip-toes. Leaning in, she pressed against his standing form, hovering slowly by his mouth. Daring the girl was, as she meekly placed her own lips against his, taking in his scent of musk. And in a way, it felt good; just... there. Cheeks flamed, she withdrew, yet kept her distance; glancing up at him, eyes quivering from her own judge.

He watched with wide eyes as Astoria slowly but surely lent in and then stood up on her tippy toes to press her soft, warm supple lips against his own. It was a quick but exhilarating feeling, nothing like his kisses with he other Slytherin girls. But sure enough just as quick as it started the sweet kiss ended.

Standing as still as a statue with his eyes closed and his fingers hanging lazily by his sides, Draco opened his eyes and stared dead straight at the girl. His vision was slightly blurry from the mix of chemicals but he could still see the small girl looking up at him. Licking his lips slowly, the boy reached up and cupped the girl’s cheek before he rubbed his thumb along her cheekbone. Pulling the girl gently towards him, Draco smiled lightly before he pressed his lips on Astoria’s moaned softly at the feeling.

Oh God, she was a dead witch if surely her sister had found out. Assuming that Daphne would blab to her best friend, Astoria made an assumption to keep this meeting that of a secret. Yet she didn't want to. Leaning against Draco felt good, his chapped yet somehow smooth lips against her own creased her thoughts and she could feel her legs turn to jelly. Under the pressure of the rising Lord; she needed this. She wanted to feel this safe; she had to if she surely was to survive.

Feeling his hands elope around her cheeks, she smiled shyly at the boy, his lips crashing down against hers again. Curving her arms around his neck, the back of his blonde hair trickled against her fingertips. She leant against him; yet in a more needy circumstance as she seemed deepen the kiss, her bloodstream intoxicated with his scent. she had inhaled him, and it was a drug to her.

Even if she surely knew that they had that of no hope together. She still wanted to dream.

Draco sighed lightly as Astoria started respond and the boy couldn’t help but lean and breath in the sweet crisp aroma of Astoria Greengrass through his nose. As the smaller of the two wrapped her arms around his neck, Draco couldn’t help the moan that flitted from his throat because with the girls arms around him it brought them chest to chest and Draco could feel everything, from Astoria’s beating heart and her heaving breasts. Everything was just so wonderful that he started to feel slightly dizzy.

Moving his hand from her cheek, Draco imbedded his right into her smooth locks and wrapped his left arm around the girl’s waist. With a sigh Draco squeezed the girl lightly, before he slowly nipped at Astoria’s bottom lip before pulled away. Closing his eyes Draco stepped back but let his hands trial down to grip her own. “As much as I like kissing you Astoria.” He said through breaths. “But I would rather do this some place else like my bedroom, “ stopping, he back tracked, “Or the living room if you prefer.” He continued. “But be rest assured it will only be kissing unless you want to go further. Though I do have one condition. I don’t want to reunion this with sex so no sex. Not that I thought you would want sex.” He rambled, coming to an abrupt halt.

Her heart staggered lightly as her lips remained against his, moving lightly as his hands flowed around her waist, nudging her vocals lightly as he bit her lip, her eyes laxed beneath the tranquil. Reaching only to his shoulder, she was a great deal shorter than the boy; to a far extend where her feet were now aching from the strain. yet she didn't care; he felt good, just them too. In a way, the girl relied on the boy as the two leant against eachother, she relied on him for security. She was Astoria, plain vunerable Astoria, and she was the one kissing Draco Malfoy.

And he had a girlfriend.

As he pulled away, her mouth was in an open space of shock, and she stood there, eyes shuddering under his gaze. "I'm s-sorry. I didn't mean to. Really. And I know you have a girlfriend and she's my sisters best friend and oh Merlin's balls; my mother. Father. I'm really sorry, I don't know what came over me." The girl blabbered, her cheeks aflame. Panting, Tori bit her lip, tasting the boy; his musky and sharp scent still lingering against her. He mentioned sex; and the girl couldn't help but sag with relief under her own personal opinions. She'd get violated off the family tree for whether her parents found out that she didn't remain pure towards her future husband.

"I-I don't mind. Really. I'm sorry if I came across as forwards." Shakily lifting a hand, she arched her thumb against a the nub of his cheekbone, soft and subtle fingers tracing against his jaw, loving the sensation of his skin beneath her own.

Draco suddenly blanched when Astoria started talking a million miles an hour. Amount ago he felt absolutely bliss but now he was completely dumbfounded. “Astoria.” He tried cut in but was completely ignored, though it didn’t make him angry. Not one bit, he was slightly amused actually until she mentioned something about a girlfriend which made him frown. “Girlfriend.” He asked, puzzled before his face went ridged. “That complete and utter bitch.” He spat, shaking his head. “Astoria, don’t listen to Daphne and most importantly don’t listen to Pansy blood Parkinson.” He told her, squeezing her hands. “Pansy is not my girlfriend. She thinks she is but shes not. She doesn’t know how to take a hint. “ He continued. “Not matter how many times I tell her.” The blonde finished in a mutter.

Shaking his head the boy smiled, “Astoria don’t worry about it, I wanted it. Trust me. Merlin did I want It.” He explained until he mentioned her parents. “Your parents what have your parents got to do with this.” The Slytherin asked confused before he clicked. “Wait, that’s why your parents said you would do it.” He murmured more to himself than anyone. “They thought you wouldn’t get to attached with a ring on your finger. Of ocurse they would think that. Why wouldn’t they.” He rambled. “You’re a loyal fifteen year and wouldn’t dare think about crossing your parents.”

Shaking his head Draco had completely forgot about the amazing kiss from before but was completely focused on what Astoria had said. Grabbing the pretty blonde hand Draco pulled the girl out of the room and down the hall to his room. Leading the girl in Draco shut the door and put a locking spell on the door. “Astoria your sister isn’t in France. She’s with your Aunt. And it wasn’t just as completely coincidence that your parents couldn’t find your somewhere to stay while they are at my house for the weekend.” He told her stepping towards her. “Your hear because your going to be meeting him Astoria. Your going to be asked to do something for You know who.”

"It doesn't matter. She loves you Draco; she always has and always will." The girl muttered; feeling her voice quaver. She admitted to romantic notions towards Draco, yet the blonde couldn't help but feel awful in progress. Pansy was a nice girl; misunderstood, but a nice girl. Tori smiled however as she felt the familiar warmth spread through her hands and she peeked up at him, smiling shyly. she listened to him, his exact words mimicking what she had previously mentioned maybe several years ago. The only difference was that it was spoken outloud, rather than a forever broken tape in her head.

She let him pull her along for the second time, blindly following him. She felt safe as he guided her through his house and well she was glad that she hadn't stepped farther than the library; for the place seemed desolate and darkening, a demeanor of amorless settling against the Victorian Gothic furniture. Leading her to what appeared to be his bedroom, the girl blushed yet said nothing; listening to his further speech.

Voldemort.

He had mentioned Voldemort. And that she was here, to see him. This was it. The girl could feel her strength drain as she started to shake at the very thought. She had always been vunerable; especially towards subjects like that of him. Feeling herself break out in fear, the girl shook her head, speechless; eyes wide and pleading.

"No, I don't want to Draco." Astoria managed to stutter, her fifteen year old self settling over once again.

Greatness Inspires Envy. Empty Re: Greatness Inspires Envy.

“Pansy is a fake. Everything you are not.” Draco explained. “You want to know why I have turned down her advances this year? Ever since that day at the edge of the black lake, I haven’t spotted thinking about you.” He admitted. In truth he hadn’t stopped thinking about the girl. He even dreamed of her, and Draco was never one to get caught up on a girl, but there was something different about Astoria Greengrass that drew him to her. Even as a kid Draco knew Astoria would be different to the other Slytherin girls and the complete opposite of her sister.

Gripping the blonde’s shoulders, Draco bent down to her eye level. “Astoria, you have to. I know it will be difficult but if you don’t it will dire consequences. Things you have no idea about. “ he assured her, wrapping his arms around her petite frame. He didn’t want to tell her that if she didn’t obey her family as well as her would be dead. Rubbing her back, Draco laid his cheek on the top of her head and sighed. “Astoria, all I can tell you is that Hogwarts won’t be safe this year.” He muttered softly.

There was a knock on the door and the weak voice of Wormtail brought Draco attention back to reality. [I] “I wants to see you both down stairs.” Wormtails squeaked before there was a rustle behind the door then silence.

Letting go to Astoria, Draco grabbed her hand and kissed her on the forehead. “Do as he says, only speak when spoken too, and please Astoria please trust me. All will be fine in the end trust me.” Letting go of her hand, Draco waved his wand and opened the door.

The black lake was the day of Astoria. Or something similar towards that anyway. She had never been significantly close with the boy she had conversed with until that day, or any other after that however. Regardless their acquaintances until now, she had still seemingly opened up towards him since then. and the fact that he could remember let alone constantly think of her since that day. She felt her cheeks flame for which felt like the umpteenth time that day.

She didn't want to go, yet somehow his reassuring words comforted her, and the girl found herself nodding, her smile trembling. Feeling her eyes prick out of fear, she could feel her heart clench and being tossed into a bottle, and Astoria was suddenly aware at how everything seemed cold. Everything but Draco that was.

'Okay, Draco. Okay."

She turned towards Wormtail, sucking in her breath. and with that, the girl exited out the door.

Draco wanted to punch someone. He wanted to swear, curse and just generally hurt someone. What Voldemort and Astoria’s parents were doing to the girl was just plain wrong and Draco wasn’t going to put up with it. Slamming his door shut, Draco grabbed Astoria’s hand and spun her around to him. Not caring that Wormtail was looking at him weirdly, Draco wiped the small tears cascading down her pretty face and smiled. “You’ll be fine.” Letting go of her hand, Draco glared at Wormtail and walked down the stairs towards the dinning room.

On the last step across from the dinning room door stood Goyle Snr, giving the blonde Slytheirn a creepy grin but the boy suddenly realized it wasn’t directed at him and shot the man a disgusted look. “Touch her and you won’t touch anyone ever again.” Draco warned him, stepping towards him so he was mere inches from the man. With a look that could kill, Draco dug into his pocket and pulled out his wand. Twirling it in his fingers, Draco smirked at the man’s worried look before he pushed it against his chest. “Here.” He snarled. “Its what your out here for isn’t it.” He finished before he turned towards Astoria, “Give him your wand.” He told her, his face blank and transparent.

Once Astoria handed over her wand, Draco straightened up and waited for Wormtail to open the door. When the small man twisted the door handle, the were a moment of quietness before his master spoke, “Ahh Draco, Astoria do come in. We were just discussing your year at Hogwarts.”
